FIRE SHUTTERS
Backed by our vast experience and an expert team, we are now offering NFPA 80 compliant UL & FM - Certified Fire Rated Rolling Shutters manufactured by Cornell Cookson Inc., USA for the Indian market. Fire shutter helps in creating a compartment and restricting the Fire within the area and avoids and restricts further spreading to the nearby chambers. Available for 4 hour, 3 hour, 11⁄2 hour and 3⁄4 hour ratings. Fire Shutters are available in Galvanised Steel & Stainless Steel grade material.
Fire shutters work in passive mode to withstand the Fire. It automatically closes upon fuselink activation without releasing spring tension or disengaging the operator drive mechanism and thus creating a compartment. The company guarantees its products from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 2 years from the date of factory shipment. Curtain
The slats are made out of 18g/20/22g depending on the door construction. The “Galvanex” finish on the slat includes an ASTM A653 galvanized base coat. The steel is treated with a dual process rinsing agent in preparation for a two-step baked-on polyester finish coat. The two coat system consists of a primer and a finish coat for a total dry film. Mineral Wool fire resistant insulation provides an R Value of 5.3, Flame Spread Index of 10 and a STC Rating of 27. The perimeter is sealed for Insulated Fire Shutters to reduce moisture, air and dust infiltration.
Guides
Structural angle of a minimum of 4.75mm thick are powder coated to match the curtain shade. Guides are anchored to the RCC structures for withstanding the heat in case of Fire & High Speed Wind force upto 60 PSF.
End Plate
Mild Steel made out of 6.3mm thick – powder coated to match the curtain shade bolted to the main structural angle.
Shaft
Oil tempered torsion springs designed for 50,000 life cycles are packed inside a seamless tube to ensure dust free environment for the springs. Life Cycles can be enhanced upto 1, 00, 000 cycles on request.
Hood Cover
As a standard, hood cover is made of 24g thick material with a “Galvanex” finish.
Finish
All shutters by default are available in White/Tan/Grey “Galvanex” finish. Powder coating to any RAL shade can be provided on request.
Mode of Operation
Fire Shutters can be operated by Pull/Push, Hand Chain or UL compliant Motor. The Automatic Release Device can be added to connect with the Building Management System(BMS) in case of Emergencies. Entrapment devices like Photo Eyes or Wireless Sensing Edge can be attached to meet the customer requirements.
